AWARDS AND HONORS
Directing, Playwriting + Production Visionary Leader Award for the Class of 2021 • Issued by Ira Brind School of Theatre Arts - UArts
Each year, the DPP Visionary Leader Award goes to the student who has time and again demonstrated the ability to have a vision, bravely share that vision with others, and then lead a group of people to make that vision a reality. The student who wins this award knows that a true leader is at the service of their team. They motivate others and cultivate enthusiasm. They direct effort and inspire dedication and excellence. This student is dedicated to continued improvement and does not rest on their laurels, but is always reaching toward the next level with rigor and optimism. The winner of this award always has an eager group of collaborators that want to work with them again and again. They dream big, and, in the face of dreaming big, deliver the goods.
This is an award that looks at the full student experience, from the moment they start their UArts journey to their final semester. It sees the full picture of the student artist from the classroom to the community to their own personal practice.
