My name is James Bruenger-Arreguin. I’m a Mexican born, Colorado raised, NYC based Theatre Director and Practitioner.
I’m currently available for adventures, want to tell some stories together? Let’s get some coffee or some tacos.
My directing and creating in theatre is a construction of imagination and text. I implement life experiences and a sense of what is rotating around the world to arrive at a presentation of any work for an audience. I began my investigation of the theatre practice from an appreciation for storytelling, since then my work has evolved into a space in hope to connect audiences to performances in an honest and impactful way. Ultimately, I hope that audiences feel a sense of community, catharsis and creativity in my work. I look forward to continuing to lead the mission to tell new stories for audiences of all walks of life.
“The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes.” - Hal Prince
